First game of the season was quite a tough game for us, New Forest has proved to be a very organised and capable team and I think if they keep performing like that they will have a good season ahead.
This game has been a really good test, it gives us the chance to see where we are in terms of performance and what we need to do to improve, both individually and as a team. We've started the game really well but unfortunately our own mistakes have had a strong impact on the scoreline.
It is still early days, some of us have just joined the club and I think in the upcoming weeks we will define ourselves as a team. There is a lot of potential, especially coming from the youngest member of our team, Calum Sage, who's had a very good game today and we've all congratulated him for his performance.
If we keep up the good work seen during our first training sessions for the year surely results will come in the upcoming matches.
