Tendring Ladies completed a successful weekend at home on Sunday defeating Polonia Ladies 3:0. Having had a long game on Saturday it looked like they were keen to avoid a
repeat and started the first set strongly, racing away to a 14:4

lead with some strong serving from Amber Erhahon. Piyusha Boteju was distributing the ball well and there were some great swings from Mechell Daniel, Charlotte Bontems and Kat Raicevic. However, they then lost concentration and a good service run from Polonia brought them back to within 4 points of Tendring before the home side managed to steady themselves and hold on to close out the set 25:20.

The first few points of the second set were traded evenly before a Daniel serving run opened up a six point lead for the home side. Marilena Constantinou was then brought on as a substitution for Daniel and with another strong service run from Erhahon, and some solid defence from Lena Bitadou, Tendring took the set comfortably 25:16.

In the third set some mistakes started to creep into the Tendring side, perhaps a result of a long match the day before. Polonia started to sense a chance and despite some great kills from Constantinou, Ellie Cranch and Erhahon, the visitors pulled away to a 5 point lead before a great 7 point service run by Kat Raicevic and some big swings from Cranch got Tendring back in front. Cranch then closed out the set with a couple of strong serves 25:21.
