After a hard-fought game on Saturday, Tendring women’s volleyball team lost 1-3 (25-16,16-25,17-25, 24-26) away against Durham. We came into the game feeling confident and excited to play against a strong sided team. The Tendring Ladies began the first set strong, staying aggressive at the net offensively and defensively. Our passing was very stable, which meant that Piyusha was able to distribute the ball efficiently. We continued to push throughout the set, hustling for every ball which enabled us to finish 25-16.

Tendring Ladies 3 - 1 London Orcas

Tendring ladies continued their winning streak this weekend with a strong 3-1 win over London Orcas. The first team to really show any challenge. The game started off point for point in the first set with Tendring slowly starting to take the league after some killer serves from opposite Helen Hunt. They manage to close the set 25-20.

Leeds RGA 1 - 3 Tendring Men

The Tendring Men had a long journey on the weekend driving all the way to Sheffield and then Leeds. The weather began to get colder the more North we went but that was not the case for the team. After a great night of team bonding after the 3-0 win over Sheffield the Tendring Men were ready for a hard fought game.

Cambridge Anglia Ruskin 0 - 3 Tendring Men

The drive into Cambridge was a cold, wet day, by Tendring Men’s Volleyball Club had their spirts high going into another weekend competition after coming off a 3-0 sweep of the Aces the weekend before. The men continued to ride the momentum from the weekend before, and completed another sweep, crushing Cambridge in the second and third sets. Tendring remain the only undefeated team in the NVL, as well as the only team to not drop a set.

On Sunday 28th October Tendering Ladies set out early to travel to Bristol where they defeated Bristol in a triumphant 3 sets. “It was a full team effort,” said Emily Bell, “The Subs box was going crazy and you could really feel the support.” After last week’s game, the tendering Ladies earned their third win while maintaining a high level of competitiveness and energy on and off the court.
