This weekend Tendring Ladies just continued with their winning rhythm where they left it last weekend in the NVL super League top 5 competition.
This time the opponent was London Malory - one of the biggest Tendring rivals.
The game plan of Tendring was to focus on their side and attack Malory from the beginning. And Tendering Ladies did stick to their plan! They opened the set with an early lead and did not give Malory many opportunities to come back. The game had a lot of long rallies and whoever stayed patient won a rally. Blocking tactics work just so well for the Tendring Ladies, as Milly Smith and Amber Erhahon showed off the best blocking game so far! At the end of the first set Malory found their game and won couple points in a row, but that did not stop Tendring on taking first set 25-19.
Second set was almost the same scenario as the first one. Tendring Ladies kept their momentum and continued with being disciplined in blocking. Malory kept pressuring Tendering’s outside hitting Ellie Cranch with their services but she stayed calm through the whole game and showed great service receive skills. That allowed Piyusha Boteju to disturb ball equally and Tendring worked as team to to secure second set 25-20.
Third set began just like fist two, but this time Malory Eagles won couple long rallies and caught up at 18-17. Tendering stayed patient and managed to take the game 25-19!
It was amazing to see Tendring Ladies playing so disciplined and patient. And we hope they continue to play like that as every game is the championship game.
GO TENDERING!
